In 2010 summer the government of Armenia passed a decision which says that all government agencies will have to use in their official documents and correspondence only the Unicode Armenian font, which is actually the only one certified font in the country, corresponding to the statutory criteria. The new version of Windows 8, expected to be released in late 2012, will probably contain also Armenian fonts, head of Microsoft Armenia Office, Grigor Barseghian, told ARKA.
